Whenever I see various blog postings about making jam I envy those who do it. I would love to but the process seems a bit daunting. Then I stumbled upon this book Jam It, Pickle It, Cure It and while the process is still a bit daunting the book and its various jam, pickling and other baking recipes makes it seem not so bad.

What does NPRs All Things Considered and Cakes have in common? A lovely cookbook filled with decadent sounding cakes that anyone would like to bake. The author, Melissa Gray is the producer for All Things Considered and a baker of these delicious sounding cakes. Doesn't Brown Sugar Pouncake make you a little hungry? Me too.
